Short answer: not really. Ledger Live is designed as a companion app for Ledger devices (Nano S Plus, Nano X, Stax). The hardware wallet stores your private keys - the app is the interface. That's what makes it so secure.
As safe as staking gets. Your keys never leave the hardware wallet, so you're earning rewards without exposing yourself to the risks of leaving coins on an exchange. You can stake ETH, SOL, DOT, ADA, ATOM, and more.
Don't panic. Your crypto lives on the blockchain, not on the device. Your 24-word recovery phrase lets you restore everything on a new Ledger. Takes about 5 minutes. Just make sure you stored that recovery phrase somewhere very safe.
The app notifies you when an update's available. One click and you're done. Important: always update from within the app or the official Ledger website. Never download updates from random links - phishing is still the biggest risk in crypto.
